RED BULL FLUGTAG 3X WINNERS!

RED BULL FLUGTAG is all about Zaniness + Creativity. You have to be a little nuts to try to fly a human powered craft off of a 60 foot ramp in costume! But that’s JUST the kind of thing we enjoy at Riley Animation;) So with great pride we are happy to announce that we are the only team to have ever won 3 Red Bull Flugtags. We won both the 2009 and 2011 event in Tampa Bay, as well as the 2013 NATIONAL RED BULL FLUGTAG event held in Miami.

Our theme from 2009 was “TAMPA BAYWATCH,” inspired by David Hasselhoff and Baywatch. We nearly broke the world record at 127 feet. Not bad for a bunch of artists and former lifeguards;)

In 2011 we went for a more colorful and playful theme of “Willy Wonka & his FLYING FLUGTAG Adventure!” complete with a 12 foot Willy WOnka and 4 Oompa Loompas pushing him to flying victory.

Finally, we caught ‘Zombie Fever’ and absolutely rocked Miami’s socks off with a win that smashed the competition as we flew into Biscayne Bay in front of 100,000 crazed South Floridians!

Red Bull is an amazing organization. Because of our effort, we’ve won pilots lessons, a flight with Kirby Chamblis (the 5 x Red Bull Air Race Champion at his home in Arizona,) and recently got to sky dive with the Red Bull Air force….So flipping cool!
